TAKING YOU FROM BARELY SURVIVING TO BEAUTIFULLY THRIVING
Hello Friends...
My name is Heather Williams, I'm an ex-professional dancer/singer and traumatic brain injury survivor/thriver with a heart to take others from a place of barely surviving to beautifully thriving!
I knew early on that dance spoke to my soul. As a child, entertaining on the lawn to the big stage. My dance training instilled diligence, discipline, determination, confidence, and joy of the art form. I had no idea these skills would be the very disciplines needed to surpass the grim prognosis given to me, and to most TBI patients, by medical professionals.
In 2001 I was working as a professional dancer and singer for the inaugural year of Universal Studios Japan. 7 1/2 months into my contract a taxi hit me and my career abruptly came to a halt. I spent 9 weeks in a coma. My world had turned upside down, I'd lost hope for a future and I was being told to accept this new place, as reality.
Knowing THIS WOULD NOT BE MY REALITY I knew I would have to fight this battle on my own.
I have had to rebuild my body, mind, and heart, almost completely. Using the disciplines I learned early on, I developed a routine for mind, body, and soul healing and restoration that surpassing all of the medical professional's expectations.
It is my mission to share this process of healing and restoration called 'Love Your Body Beautiful' with anyone facing traumatic injury.
As we all globally go through this unprecedented pandemic, I've learnt from my life changing experience that patience is imperative and change is inevitable and we have the power to influence that change positively or negatively!
I know first hand just as the survivors of WWI and WWII that this too shall pass and life will never be “normal” again yet that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. We have the power to create a better “new normal” with more understanding, knowledge, compassion, patience and love.
We want to not just survive these times, but also THRIVE in them!

I had private sessions with Heather and she is incredibly knowledgeable. Heather was encouraging, energetic and made sure I used correct form.
The Love Your Body Beautiful workout was fun and I noticed a definite improvement in my strength and flexibility.
I definitely recommend people try at least one session with Heather Williams and Love Your Body Beautiful.

Heathers teaching of LYBB has completely transformed my yoga practice for the better .Heathers immense experience and mastery of her craft are immediately evident in the ease with which she communicates insight and humility and integrity . In class , Heather clearly and intelligently directs my awareness so that I now appreciate the purpose of each position and have a stronger connection with my body and the movement of energy through it . Heather encouraged me to be curious and explore postures , not to adopt a one sizes fits all approach , making for a safer practice . The class was intense , the work goes deep and stays in the body long after the class is over !! Thank you Heather and I look forward to continuing my journey . -Robert P., Delta B.C.

I was there at the birth of love-your-body-beautiful, (lybb). And I’m proud to say that it has become not only my daily routine, but what I love to call my covenant. Because this program, as far as I’m concerned, doesn’t only help my body beautiful, but my mind as well as my spirit. It gives vigor and life to my daily doings.
The best thing about lybb for me is that it’s a nice retreat. I do it with the accompaniment of music or I do it in silence. I use this time to meditate, to reflect, to focus, to recalibrate and to challenge myself. I learned to slowly breathe through the pain as I push and spring my body to its limit. I love the way it feels at the other end of that. It’s my ‘me-time, even if I’m in a group setting. I very much love the multi-disciplinary aspect of it. It opens the door to great learning.
Ask me ten years from now; I promise you, lybb will always be part of my life.

I met Heather less than a year after my traumatic brain injury when I was very disabled and hopeless. As crazy as it sounds, Heather was the first person to say to me, “Carlie, every day is a chance to heal. You have so much to be grateful for!” Despite her disability, she is the most positive, wise person. She had figured out how to find joy in her life, so I knew it was possible for me too. With her trauma counsel, I’ve developed an acceptance of my new self and the right mindset for healing. I’m now going back to school for neurobiology, because as she always says, “everything is created twice, first in the mind, then in the form.”

I’ve healed well from my TBI (six and a half years ago), but working with Heather helped me to progress even more! I wish I had found her even sooner! The habits she has pushed me to develop have been very beneficial to my overall well-being. I love the changes I’ve seen since I started working with Heather! I highly recommend her to anyone else wanting to improve!
I’m so grateful for our sessions! I feel like my entire mindset has shifted and now I’m recovering better than I have in years!
Thanks so much, Heather!
